We've been Quiet
In the meantime, some quick briefs:
- Little Namweru (Rogers) is back at boarding school for the third term that has just begun.
- Charles has completed the first year of his MBA and is now thinking up a topic of research for his dissertation before the final year begins. Having partially supported Charles during his first year of studies, we wish him all the best as he goes it alone to the finish line.
- Volunteers Wangwe Rogers and Sam, together Mzei Ndugu in Buhugu, are now in charge of the library and the computers. Since the community is unable to provide a space to host the center, they have been exploring the feasibility of running a private operation. We will keep you updated on their progress.
- Buhugu IT, our Low Cost Website service, is wrapping up a couple of projects before we conclude the pilot. We have had tremendously positive feedback from our clients so far. However, there have been a number of challenges, especially around getting payments on time. On conclusion of the pilot in October we will take stock of how best to go forward.
